In order for students to understand the workings of an animal body they must first know where they are inside of the body. Students learn directional terminology and planes to serve as clear communication when performing surgery and other procedures. Students in the Veterinary Science class had the chance to practice these skills by "dissecting" gummy bears. Students were given the task of dividing these "critters" into the different dimensional planes as a way to reinforce the concepts learned in class and have a snack:)
